We specialise in providing travel medicine advice, travel/tropical diseases vaccines. We are the official Yellow Fever vaccination locality on the west coast of the Zurich lake.

Be it for a travel around the world, a business trip or a humanitarian mission, a safari, a trip with small children by the sea, travel planning during pregnancy; for questions regarding travelling and vaccinations when chronically ill: at our practice you will receive a competent, exhaustive and individually tailored travel advice, where all the vaccinations and malaria medications will be dispensed immediately.

When attending an appointment, please bring your vaccination booklet (or Swiss military service booklet) or other proof of vaccination documents; a list of your medical preconditions and medications, allergy pass as well as a detailed travel route plan. Medications’ doses for children are established according to their body weight.

You can receive quick and competent advice and treatment at our practice following a trip abroad.

The most common health issues after a stay in tropical or subtropical areas are skin problems, diarrhoea as well as illnesses with fever. Animal bites, injuries following contact with sea creatures and other issues are often brought back home as “souvenirs”.

Please note that fever appearing even after several months after a trip to a malaria risk area is considered a medical emergency- you should contact us as soon as possible.

Should you get bitten by a mammal during a trip abroad, please contact us immediately upon your return to discuss rabies prophyillaxis.

• Issuing of an official WHO Yellow fever “letter of exemption” in case of a medical exemption (counter indication?)
• Clarification of health issues following a trip abroad (incl. emergency malaria clarification, rabies post-exposure prophylaxis, sicknesses caused by parasites, etc.)

Vaccinations, medication, certificates and other attesting documents will be issued only after a consultation with a doctor from our practice. For all official certificates you need to provide an identity document (international passport).

Payment options

Travel advice/consulations as well as any counselling fees and medications will have to be paid by a card or in cash directly following your appointment. Some credit/debit cards (Visa, V PAY, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Discover, Diners Club or Union Pay) as well as NFC payments can be charged over Google and Apple Pay- you will receive a refund voucher and a receipt for the amount paid.

The vaccinations recommended in Switzerland by the health authorities (e.g. children vaccines, tetanus vaccine) are covered by the basic health insurance, excluding the franchise. Travel vaccinations (e.g. yellow fever, typhus) are not covered by the basic health insurance. In case you have an additional insurance type which covers “preventive measures” like vaccinations for travel, these costs (excl. franchise) are often taken/covered by the insurer.
